The SYSTCM platform supports various forms of input, including the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) name, its pinyin name, latin name, molecular name, PubChem ID, CAS number, and more. It facilitates the exploration of multi-tiered interactions between TCM, their components, pharmacological effects, and therapeutic efficacies.
550 traditional Chinese medicines, 10936 components, 2527 targets, 465 targets of 40 pharmacological effects, ,18 efficacies and 18 properties information were collected and processed from Chinese pharmacopoeia, DrugBank, CTD, HIT. TCMBank and literature.
Literature data was collected using a web crawler framework, and a identification model of pharmacological efficacy based on the GoogLeNet architecture was subsequently developed.
Based on the 40 pharmacological features of 550 Chinese herbal medicines, 34 recognition models for efficacy and medicinal properties were established using a multi-algorithm optimization framework built on Optuna.
The SYSTCM platform can be utilized for investigating associations among active ingredients, constituents, and the multi-level relationships between components, targets, pharmacological effects, efficacies, and medicinal properties in traditional Chinese medicine, thereby providing new insights into mechanisms of action and efficacy discovery.
